Where a local authority1 has served on the owner2 of a disused tip3 a notice requiring remedial operations4 then, notwithstanding that an application may have been made to the court for variation or cancellation5, or that the owner may have begun to carry out the operations, and whether or not the period specified6 for carrying out the operations has expired, the local authority may at any time before the completion of the remedial operations cancel the notice by a further notice7 served8 on the owner9.
