The special requirements for certain treatments1 do not apply2 to any treatment which: (1) is immediately necessary to save the patient's life3; (2) not being irreversible4, is immediately necessary to prevent a serious deterioration of his condition5; or (3) not being irreversible6 or hazardous7 is immediately necessary to alleviate serious suffering by the patient or is immediately necessary and represents the minimum interference necessary to prevent the patient from behaving violently or being a danger to himself or others8.
