If the managing authority1 decides to give an urgent authorisation2, it must decide the period during which the authorisation is to be in force3. This must not exceed seven days4. The authorisation must be in writing and must state the name of the relevant person5, the name of the relevant hospital or care home6, the period during which the authorisation is to be in force7 and the purpose for which the authorisation is given
