In cases where the relevant hospital1 is situated in England, the identity of the supervisory body is determined as follows2. If a primary care trust3 commissions the relevant care or treatment, that Trust is the supervisory body4. If the Welsh Ministers or a local health board5 commissions the relevant care or treatment, the Welsh Ministers are the supervisory body6. In any other case, the supervisory body is the primary care trust for the area in which the relevant hospital is situated7.
