The general provisions relating to applications for admission to hospital for treatment1 apply also to guardianship applications2. The person named as guardian in such an application may be either a local social services authority3 or any other person, including the applicant himself4. The application must be addressed and forwarded5 to the local social services authority which is named as guardian in the application, or, if a local social services authority is not so named, to the local social services authority for the area in which the person named as guardian resides
