903. Removal of patients to Northern Ireland.

If it appears to the Secretary of State1, in the case of a patient2 who is for the time being liable to be detained or subject to guardianship3, that it is in the patient's interest to remove him to Northern Ireland and that arrangements have been made for admitting him to a hospital4 or for receiving him into guardianship there, the Secretary of State may authorise the removal of the patient to Northern Ireland and give any necessary directions for his conveyance to his destination5.
