Regulations may make provision for, and in connection with, requiring one or more prescribed1 bodies to monitor, and report on, the operation of provisions2 relating to the deprivation of liberty3.
In relation to England, the regulations may, in particular, give a prescribed body authority to do one or more of the following things: (1) to visit hospitals and care homes; (2) to visit and interview persons accommodated in hospitals and care homes; (3) to require the production of, and to inspect, records relating to the care or treatment of persons
