920. Persons absent from institutions in Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.

Any person who may be taken into custody in Northern Ireland, under the provisions for retaking patients absent without leave1 or patients escaping from custody2 or under the special provisions as to persons sentenced to imprisonment3, may be taken into custody in, and returned to Northern Ireland from, England and Wales4 by an approved mental health professional5, by any constable or by any person authorised by or by virtue of the Mental Health (Northern Ireland) Order 1986
