The Secretary of State jointly with the Welsh Ministers1 may by regulations make provision as to the circumstances in which a practitioner approved for the purposes of making a medical recommendation for the admission of a patient or a guardianship application2 or a person approved to act as an approved clinician3 for the purposes of the Mental Health Act 1983, approved in relation to England is to be treated, by virtue of his approval, as approved in relation to Wales too, and vice versa4.
