Any transfer direction1 given in respect of a civil prisoner2 ceases to have effect on the expiration of the period during which he would, but for his removal to hospital3, be liable to be detained in the place from which he was removed4.
Where a transfer direction and a restriction direction5 have been given in respect of any such person then, if the appropriate national authority6 is notified by the responsible clinician7, any other approved clinician8 or the appropriate tribunal9 at any time before the expiration of the period that
