Where a patient1 is subject to the guardianship of a private guardian2, it is the duty of the guardian to:
(1) appoint a registered medical practitioner3 to act as the nominated medical attendant4 of the patient5;
(2) notify the responsible local social services authority6 of his name and address7;
(3) in exercising powers and duties conferred or imposed on him by the Mental Health Act 1983 or regulations8, comply with directions given by the responsible local social services authority, and furnish it with such reports and information with regard to the patient as it may require
