770. Compulsory admission and temporary detention of in-patients.

An application may be made for the admission of a patient1 to a hospital2 for assessment or for treatment notwithstanding that the patient is already an in-patient3 in that hospital and not liable to be detained in pursuance of any application4 for his compulsory admission5. Moreover, an application may be made for admission for treatment notwithstanding that the patient is already liable to be detained in hospital in pursuance of an application for his admission for assessment6.
