In relation to England, an approval to be an approved mental health professional1 is subject to the following conditions:
(1) in each year that the approved mental health professional is approved, he must complete at least 18 hours of training agreed with the approving local social services authority2 as being relevant to his role as an approved mental health professional3;
(2) the approved mental health professional must undertake to notify the approving local social services authority in writing as soon as reasonably practicable if he agrees to act as an approved mental health professional
