In regard to Part 2 Mental Health Act 19831 patients2, an application to the appropriate tribunal3 may be made by the following persons ('applicants') within the specified periods:
(1) by a patient who is admitted to hospital4 in pursuance of an application for admission for assessment5, within 14 days of admission6;
(2) by a patient who is admitted to hospital in pursuance of an application for treatment7, within six months of admission8;
(3) by a patient received into guardianship in pursuance of a guardianship application9, within six months
