The General Dental Council1 may withdraw approval of a qualification given in relation to a particular profession complementary2 to dentistry where it considers that the content or standard (or both) of a course of education or training leading to the grant of that qualification is no longer such as to impart the knowledge and skills necessary for a person undertaking that course to obtain the standard of proficiency determined by the Council in relation to that profession3 or it considers that an examination (or other form of assessment) leading to the grant of that qualification is no longer such
