A direction1 for erasure given by the professional conduct committee, a direction2 for erasure, suspension, conditional registration3 or variation of or addition to the conditions of registration given by a practice committee4 and a direction5 for conditional registration given by the professional conduct committee6 take effect:
(1) where no appeal7 is brought against the decision giving the direction within the period of time specified8, on the expiry of that period9;
(2) where such an appeal is brought but is withdrawn or
