Consequent to the UK's withdrawal from the EU, this Halsbury paragraph should be read in conjunction with the Social Security Coordination (Reciprocal Healthcare) (Amendment etc) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019, SI 2019/776, pending incorporation of the changes into the text.

In England, the following activities are lawful if done with appropriate consent for the purpose of transplantation1:


    (1)     the storage of the body of a deceased person2;
