The General Medical Council1 must keep a register of general practitioners (known as 'the General Practitioner Register')2 which must contain the names of:
(1) registered medical practitioners who hold a CCT3 in general practice4;
(2) registered medical practitioners who have an acquired right to practise5 as a general practitioner in the United Kingdom6; and
(3) registered medical practitioners falling within such other categories as the Privy Council may by order specify7.
A person falling within any of heads (1) to (3)
