Where the General Dental Council1, with a view to permitting any person holding a recognised overseas diploma2 temporarily to practise dentistry3 in a particular post in a hospital or other institution, gives a direction that he is registered as respects practice in that post in that hospital or institution for a specified period, he is entitled to be registered in the dentists register subject to the entry against his name of the restrictions specified in the direction4.
No such direction may be given unless the person concerned has satisfied the registrar5: (1) of his identity
