947. Specific obligations and powers of the Council.

In the exercise of its general function1, the General Pharmaceutical Council2 must:

  1.  

    (1)     determine:

    1.  

      (a)     programmes or courses in respect of, or any combination of, education, training or experience required in order to obtain an annotation in respect of a specialisation3;

    2.  

      (b)     the amount and type of education, training and experience required in order to obtain an annotation in respect of a specialisation4;

    3.  

      (c)     the education, training and experience that is necessary to address fitness to practise matters5;

  2.  

    (2)     hold or cause to be held assessments in respect of:

    1.  

      (a)     approved qualifications, or any education, training or experience leading
