The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority1 may grant only the following licences2: (1) licences authorising activities in the course of providing treatment services3; (2) licences authorising activities in the course of providing non-medical fertility services4; (3) licences authorising the storage of gametes, embryos or human admixed embryos5; and (4) licences authorising activities for the purposes of a project of research6.
A licence7 can only authorise activities to be carried on on premises specified in the licence, or the case of activities to which a third party agreement applies8 on relevant third party premises9, and under the supervision of a person
