The General Optical Council1 may make rules2 with respect to the form and keeping of the registers3 and the making of entries and alterations in them and, in particular4:
(1) regulating the making of applications for registration5 or for transfer from one register to another, and providing for the evidence to be produced in support of any such application6;
(2) providing for the notification7 to the Council of any change in the prescribed8 information provided by the registrant9 and the removal from the appropriate register of the name of the registrant if he fails to notify the Council of
