260.     Removal of names from the General Practitioner Register and the Specialist Register.

The registrar1 must remove a person's name from the General Practitioner Register2 or the Specialist Register3 where it comes to the registrar's notice that they are no longer a registered medical practitioner4.

The registrar may remove a person's name from the General Practitioner Register or the Specialist Register where they cease, in cases specified by the Privy Council5 by order, to fall within any of the categories specified by the Privy Council6 by order7.
