If it is proved to the satisfaction of the fitness to practise committee1 that the entry of a person's name in a register has been fraudulently procured or incorrectly made, or that an entry relating to a specialty or proficiency has been fraudulently procured or incorrectly made in a register, the committee may, if it thinks fit, direct that the person's name or, as the case may be, entry, be removed
