Where the fitness to practise committee1 has previously made an interim order2, conditional order3 or suspension order4 in respect of a registrant, the registrar must refer the case5 to the committee for the purposes of a review under certain provisions of the Opticians Act 19896 or may refer the case to the committee where new evidence is received by the Council which in the registrar's opinion, suggests that an order imposed on the registrant's registration ought to be reviewed7.
