140. Prosecution of offences committed by bodies corporate.

Where an offence under the Human Tissue Act 2004, the Human Tissue (Quality and Safety for Human Application) Regulations 20071 or the Quality and Safety of Organs Intended for Transplantation Regulations 20122 is committed by a body corporate and is proved to have been committed with the consent or connivance of or to be attributable to any neglect on the part of any director, manager, secretary or other similar officer of the body corporate or any person who was purporting to act in any such capacity, that person (as well as the body corporate) commits the offence and is
