A profession complementary to dentistry is a profession: (1) the majority of whose members work in connection with the provision of dental care with persons receiving such care or with persons registered in the dentists register or the dental care professionals register1; and (2) in respect of which the regulatory body is not a body (other than the General Dental Council) regulated by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care
