Subject to the Nursing and Midwifery Order 20011 or any order made under it (otherwise than by standing order), the Nursing and Midwifery Council2 may make standing orders in respect of: (1) its procedure; (2) the performance of its functions; (3) the constitution of its committees and sub-committees, other than the practice committees; (4) the procedure of any of its committees or sub-committees; (5) the performance by any of its committees or sub-committees of their functions; and (6) the standards of education, training, attendance and performance expected of the members of its committees and sub-committees3.
