It is an offence for any person by wilful act to intentionally cause a child to die before it has an existence independent of its mother1. It is also unlawful to administer or cause to be taken by any woman, whether she is with child or not, any poison or other noxious thing with intent to procure her miscarriage, or unlawfully to use any instrument or other means with that intent2. It is also an offence to supply or procure poison or instruments with intent to procure a miscarriage3.
