The Nursing and Midwifery Council1 may make rules authorising the giving of directions by: (1) any of the practice committees; (2) any other persons specified in the rules, requiring the person concerned to undertake an examination or other assessment of that person's knowledge of English2 which must be made in accordance with rules3.
