In practice, the Health and Care Professions Tribunal (HCPT) operates through three panels that hear and determine cases on behalf of three of the Health and Care Profession Council's (HCPC's) practice committees: the investigating committee, the conduct and competence committee, and the health committee1, whose hearing functions the panels have taken over. Those panels are similarly named the investigating panel, the conduct and competence panel, and the health panel2.
