Where an allegation1 is referred to the investigating committee2, it must, at the same time that it sends the notice3 to the health professional4, provide him with a copy of the standards of conduct, performance and ethics5. In considering an allegation the committee may seek such advice or assistance as it sees fit but6 may not interview the health professional unless he consents7, or take account of any document or other material which the health professional has not had the opportunity to comment upon8.
