The following provisions apply where the fitness to practise committee gives a direction1 to remove a registrant's entry from one or more parts of the register2 or a direction for suspension3.
If the fitness to practise committee is satisfied that to do so is necessary for the protection of members of the public or is otherwise in the public interest or in the interests of the registrant, it may order that the entry of the registrant who is the subject of the direction in the part or parts of the register to which the direction relates be suspended forthwith, pending
