Where an allegation is referred to the investigating committee1: (1) the council must without delay notify the person concerned2 of the allegation3 and invite him to submit written representations4 to the investigating committee within a prescribed period5; (2) the investigating committee must where it sees fit, notify the person making the allegation of the representations mentioned in head (1) and invite him to deal within a specified period with any points raised by the Investigating Committee in respect of those representations6; (3) the investigating committee must take such other steps as are reasonably practicable to obtain as much information
