538.     Indemnity Arrangements

Consequent to the UK's withdrawal from the EU, this Halsbury paragraph should be read in conjunction with the European Qualifications (Health and Social Care Professions) (Amendment etc) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019, SI 2019/593, pending incorporation of the changes into the text.

Each practising registrant1 must have in force in relation to that registrant an indemnity arrangement2 which provides appropriate cover3 for practising as such4. If a registrant is in breach of the above provisions, the registrar5 may remove that person from the register or the person's fitness to practise may be treated6 as being impaired
