In a health case or language case1or specified cases of suspension2, a medical practitioners tribunal3 may give a direction in relation to a person whose registration has been suspended4 extending his period of suspension indefinitely where the period of suspension will, on the date on which the direction takes effect, have lasted for at least two years5, and the direction is made not more than two months before the date on which the period of suspension would otherwise expire6.
