Consequent to the UK's withdrawal from the EU, this Halsbury paragraph should be read in conjunction with the European Qualifications (Health and Social Care Professions) (Amendment etc) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019, SI 2019/593, pending incorporation of the changes into the text.

The main statutory provisions relating to osteopaths are the Osteopaths Act 1993 and rules made under that Act. A 'registered osteopath' for the purposes of that Act1 is a person who is registered2 as a fully registered osteopath3, as a conditionally registered osteopath4
