Hearing aid dispensers are required to be registered in Part 15 of the Health and Care Professions Council register1 and a person who is not a registered hearing aid dispenser2 must not perform the functions of a dispenser of hearing aids3. However this does not apply where the person performing those functions is:
(1) registered in the specialist register4 as having a specialty in otolaryngology, otorhino laryngology or ENT surgery5; or
(2) performing them as part of a course of education or training approved by the Council6 for persons wishing to become registered hearing aid dispensers or as part
