The Health and Care Professions Council (formerly the Health Professions Council)1 is a body corporate2, with the following committees ('the statutory committees')3: (1) the education and training committee4; (2) the investigating committee5; (3) the conduct and competence committee6; and (4) the health committee7 and may establish such other committees as it considers appropriate in connection with the discharge of its functions and may, in particular, establish professional advisory committees whose function is to advise the Council and its statutory committees (whether on the request of the Council or otherwise) on matters affecting any relevant profession
