The General Medical Council1 may publish guidance for medical practitioners relating to the information and documents to be provided2, and any other requirements to be satisfied for securing the grant of a licence to practise3, for the purposes of revalidation4, or for securing restoration of a licence to practise5. In preparing any such guidance in relation to revalidation6, the Council must take into account such similarities as there may be between any information or documents to be provided, or any other requirements to be satisfied for the purposes of revalidation
