632. General power to appoint committees.

The General Optical Council1 may set up a committee for any purpose, other than a purpose for which it is required to set up a committee2, and may delegate to such a committee, with or without restrictions or conditions as it thinks fit, any functions3 exercisable by it except the power to make rules under the Opticians Act 1989, 4any functions expressly conferred by that Act on some other committee5, and, subject to any express provision for delegation in the rules, any functions expressly conferred on the Council by rules under the Act6.
