A visiting practitioner1 is entitled to provide occasional nursing services2 or occasional midwifery services3 if he has provided the registrar4 with the required documents5 and, where the practitioner's case falls within certain provisions of the European Union (Recognition of Professional Qualifications) Regulations 20156, the provision by the practitioner of occasional nursing services or occasional midwifery services is in accordance with those regulations7 (the practitioner having, in particular, successfully completed any adaptation period, or passed any aptitude test, that he may be required to undertake)8.
