648. Death or bankruptcy of registered optician.

Where an optometrist or dispensing optician dies1 at a time when he is carrying on business or is in practice as an optometrist or dispensing optician, the prohibition on the false use of titles2 does not, during the three years beginning with his death or such longer period as the General Optical Council3 in any particular case allows, operate to prevent4 his executors or administrators5, his surviving spouse or his surviving civil partner6, any of his children7, or trustees on behalf of his surviving spouse or his surviving civil partner or any of his children8, from taking or using
