559. Committees of the Council.

There are four statutory committees¹ of the Health and Care Professions Council² known as the education and training committee³, the investigating committee⁴, the conduct and competence committee⁵, and the health committee⁶. Each of the statutory committees has the functions conferred on it⁷. The Council may establish such other committees as it considers appropriate in connection with the discharge of its functions⁸, and may, in particular, establish professional advisory committees whose function is to advise the Council and its statutory committees, whether on the request of the Council or otherwise, on matters affecting any relevant profession
