The Human Tissue Authority1 may prepare and issue codes of practice2 for the purpose of giving practical guidance to persons carrying on activities within its remit3 and for the purpose of laying down the standards expected in relation to the carrying on of such activities4. In preparing and issuing such codes of practice, the Authority must deal with the following matters:
(1) the carrying out of anatomical examinations5;
(2) the storage of anatomical specimens6;
(3) the storage and disposal of former anatomical specimens7;
(4) the definition of death for the purposes of the Human Tissue Act 2004 and the
