The General Pharmaceutical Council1 may do either or both of the following in connection with proceedings under the Pharmacy Order 20102:
(1) appoint registered medical practitioners to be clinical advisers3;
(2) make rules which provide for the Council to enter into arrangements with another person for that person to appoint on behalf of the Council registered medical practitioners to be clinical advisers4.
If clinical advisers are appointed under the above provisions, their appointment is for the purpose of giving advice5 on health related issues6.
A clinical adviser:
(a) must be present at any meeting of the investigating committee at which a
