211. Approved practice settings.

Unless the registrar1 otherwise directs in relation to a particular person, a person who is registered by virtue of primary European qualifications2 or an overseas qualification3 must4, before his first revalidation5 after he is registered, practise medicine in the United Kingdom only in a practice setting:

  1.  

    (1)     where he is subject to a governance system that includes, but is not limited to, provision for appropriate supervision and appraisal arrangements or assessments6; and

  2.  

    (2)     which is, or which is of a type which is, for the time being recognised by the General Medical Council, either generally or in relation to
