In order to secure the maintenance of the standards and requirements established by the General Medical Council1, the Council may approve2:
(1) courses or programmes of postgraduate medical education and training (or part of such a course or programme) which the Council is satisfied meet, or would meet, the standards and requirements established3 by it4;
(2) training posts which the Council is satisfied meet, or would meet, the standards and requirements established5 by it6;
(3) general practitioners whom the Council considers to be properly organised and equipped for providing training for GP registrars7;
(4) examinations, assessments or other tests
