The General Medical Council must make regulations1 as to the procedure to be followed by, or in relation to, persons applying to the registrar2 for inclusion in the General Practitioner Register or the Specialist Register3. The regulations may in particular make provision as to the evidence required in support of applications, the time limits to be complied with in respect of applications and the notification of decisions in respect of applications
