The General Dental Council may1, after paying its expenses including authorised payments to its members and to the members of its committees and the salaries or remuneration of its officers2, allocate any money received by it, whether by way of fees or otherwise, to purposes connected with education and research in relation to the dental profession or professions complementary to dentistry or any other public purposes connected with either of those professions in such manner as it thinks fit
